UC CITCS Secures Trademark Registration for PRESQRX, Following Copyright Recognition in 2024

Baguio City, Philippines – December 2024 — The University of the Cordilleras – College of Information Technology and Computer Science (UC CITCS) proudly announces the successful trademark registration of PRESQRX by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL), marking another milestone in the college’s commitment to protecting and commercializing student-led innovations.

This development follows the copyright registration of PRESQRX earlier in 2024 under Class N (Computer Programs, Software, Games, Applications), demonstrating UC CITCS’s comprehensive efforts to secure both literary and proprietary rights for this groundbreaking healthcare technology.

Together, these IP protections affirm PRESQRX as a fully recognized and institutionally protected innovation under Philippine law.

The trademark registration is valid for ten (10) years from issuance, granting exclusive rights over the PRESQRX brand identity and reinforcing its market viability.
