The College of Information Technology and Computer Science (CITCS) has successfully concluded the enrolment period for the first term of the 2024-2025 school year. Originally scheduled from August 22 to 28, the enrolment period was extended until September 7, 2024, to accommodate the influx of both local and international students. This extension was crucial to ensure that all students, new and continuing, had the opportunity to secure their courses and set themselves up for success in the coming academic year.

This year’s enrolment saw a significant increase in student numbers, with a total of 2,056 students enrolling in CITCS, up from 1,735 last year. The growing popularity of the CITCS programs highlights the college’s strong reputation for providing a robust IT and computer science education, tailored to the needs of a globalized workforce.

To assist with the enrolment process, CITCS faculty members played a critical role by advising students and helping them navigate course reservations. This hands-on approach ensured that students received optimal class schedules and were on track to graduate within their desired timelines. The faculty’s dedication reflects the college’s commitment to student success, both academically and professionally.

The University of the Cordilleras continues to uphold its vision of being a top educational institution, and the CITCS enrolment numbers further demonstrate its appeal to students seeking high-quality education in technology and computer science. The increase in enrolment not only reinforces the university’s leadership in IT education but also positions it as a premier choice for students from diverse backgrounds.

As the new academic year begins, CITCS looks forward to another successful term, fostering innovation, and preparing students for future careers in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
