UC CITCS Launch Beginner-Friendly Course on Modern AI

Baguio City, Philippines – December 5, 2025 — The University of the Cordilleras – College of Information Technology and Computer Science (UC CITCS), in partnership with CISCO Networking Academy and PSITE CAR, proudly presents Introduction to Modern AI, a beginner-friendly course designed to equip students and enthusiasts with foundational knowledge and hands-on experience in artificial intelligence.

AI chatbots and AI-enabled tools are transforming the way people work and learn worldwide, simplifying tasks such as writing, editing, ideation, homework assistance, and even career guidance. The course provides a comprehensive introduction to AI, beginning with an overview of the technology, followed by practical exercises in computer vision using a photo app and machine translation with online translation tools. Participants will then take a deep dive into chatbots, gaining hands-on experience with over 10 popular AI platforms, including ChatGPT, Meta AI, Gemini, Google Translate, Claude, Hugging Chat, NotebookLM, and more.

By providing learners with accessible, hands-on AI training, the course contributes to Indicator 4.4.1, which measures the proportion of youth and adults with ICT skills, promoting digital literacy and technological competence.
