The College of Information Technology and Computer Science (CITCS) is set to celebrate CITCS Week 2025 from July 21 to 26, 2025, at the University of the Cordilleras. Carrying the theme “Made By Minds: The Future Is Human,” the week-long celebration recognizes the creativity, passion, and intelligence of students who continue to shape the future of technology.
At a time when artificial intelligence and automation are becoming increasingly present in daily life, CITCS Week highlights an important message: technology is created to serve people and is driven by human ideas. Behind every program, design, innovation, and technological breakthrough are individuals who imagine possibilities, solve problems, and lead meaningful change.
The celebration will feature competitions, talks, creative showcases, games, and other student-centered activities designed to provide opportunities for learners to demonstrate their talents, share their voices, and develop innovative ideas. More than a week of recreation, CITCS Week aims to empower students by creating spaces where they can collaborate, compete, learn, and express their individuality.
The event also contributes to sustainability through its support for quality education, student participation, and innovation. It aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education by encouraging experiential learning and skills development beyond the classroom. It also supports SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure by inspiring students to explore technology, creativity, and innovation as tools for addressing future challenges.
Through CITCS Week 2025, the CITCS community celebrates not only the technologies of tomorrow, but also the people whose minds, values, and creativity make meaningful innovation possible.
